Hampton Inn Franklin/Milford

This Hampton Inn is a little run down along with the bedding and bath towels being quite worn. We stayed in the largest room which was comfortable, and housekeeping had it very clean. The Lobby and Eating Area were very clean and neat. The location is fairly convenient if Franklin/Norfolk is where you are visiting. The Front Desk Staff were amazingly friendly, courteous and helpful. So as far as service is concerned there is nothing negative to say. One big negative was the Hilton Honors digital key system was not working for the three days we were there.

Once again, another outdated hotel. It's under renovation but the couch is really old as is the bed, which is horrible, somewhat updated but shower still has mold around. They need to update the rooms for sure at $160 from 3pm to 11am, which in my opinion is a huge rip off. Had to book 2 nights just to enjoy friends for the holidays. Front desk person was smiley and outgoing. Very helpful... Lots of slamming doors and many dogs... 3 out of 5 for me. Hope I can catch some sleep.

On Monday Dec. 18 we lost power at 10:30am. It wasn’t that cold yet so we spent the nite at home. On Tuesday it started to get colder at night so I called the Hampton Inn/ Franklin. I talked to a very rude person called Michael asked him how much an overnight stay was. He said it was $169 at the moment. He said he had availability. We got some belongings together and a half hour later showed up at the hotel. Michael was at the desk. He asked my last name, I told him, he said I don’t see your name on the reservation list. I told him he didn’t ask my name when I called. He said I hung up on him before he asked my name. Why in the world would I hang up being so desperate for a good nights sleep. He said he has a room at $198. What a con artist. He wouldn’t honor the $169 price he quoted me on the phone. I told him forget it and left. That place was horrible. It smelled awful walking in the door. We finally found a room in the Hilton in Dedham. They were so pleasant. Unlike Hampton/Franklin hotel.

Hotel is outdated, old musty smell, beds are old and squeaky to the point where it woke up everyone in the room if one person turns in the middle of the night. No air conditioning in the hallways or in the elevator. Every time you take an elevator ride, you need a shower afterwards. Would have given it a big fat zero if it wasn’t for how nice the staff was. Wouldn’t recommend staying there especially for the price our group paid per night. Should have cost half if that.

Cons: No hotel is perfect… the sink had hair in it and one of the washcloths had hair on it. USB “ChargePoint” connector box on nightstand was disgusting… sticky and covered with fibers and dust. No cold water readily available in the breakfast area.
